I got this product as a gift, but my baby was already 7 months in early summer when the SPF and bugs is the key. in 7 months, my son was too mobile to be happy sitting in her infant carrier .... will definitely keep it for a future child, although. It's really easy to place on the car seat even to store in the housing. However, I found an alternative use for the cover. I used in my car, placed on the car seat, with the reflective cover broken into place, to keep cooler in hot summer as one of those protectors of windshield that you use for the front seat. It worked! The seat and the buckles were not so hot.
